Friday, November 23 Dog Parade, Tree Lighting and Golf Cart Parade There will be time to catch a bite to eat or tuck your pup safely at home before the Tree Lighting Ceremony, traditionally held at dusk at City Park. Cookies, Cider and Cocoa will be served as a Holiday treat and goody bags will be handed out to the kids, generously donated by The Faraway Inn. Then enjoy the wonder of the brightly lit Golf Cart Parade as it meanders down the streets of Cedar Key. This will be a fun-filled family event and the entire town, visitors and residents alike, are welcome to attend Saturday November 24 Book Signing with Terri DuLong Fall Festival Monday, December 3 Santa Clause is Coming to Town. Don`t miss your chance to visit and have your picture taken with Santa at the Cedar Key Community Center beginning at 6 pm. Every child will receive a present and dinner will be provided. Tuesday, December 4 Dilly Dally Gally, 390 Dock Street, is hosting their annual Holiday Open House on Tuesday, December 4th from 3 - 7. There will be door prizes, refreshments and a store-wide sale. Email: - Website: http://dillydallygally.com Saturday, December 15 (Rain Date is December 16th) A Cedar Key Christmas and Boat Parade Join us along Dock Street at dusk for the Annual Boat Parade in Cedar Key, which kicks off the annual Community Christmas night in City Park. The boat parade begins at our Marina and slowly moves past the businesses of Dock Street. where Santa Clams will arrive by boat to visit with the kids and goody bags will be generously provided by the Faraway Inn for the kids. The community is encouraged to bring a covered dish to share, cocoa and cider are provided. Call Rosie at 352-543-6346 to be a part of this Holiday favorite. Saturday, December 22 and December 29 Open House at the Light Station - Celebrate the Holidays on Seahorse Key in Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge FREE Open House which will include Light Station history, spectacular holiday photo opportunities, Historians in Period Dress, Passport stamps and more. Saturday, Dec 22, 9:00 - 1:00 and Saturday, Dec 29, 11:00-4:00. We are excited the Refuge has offered two additional opportunities for guests to take part of being on Sea Horse Key and view the Light House Station. Holiday 2012 Restaurant Hours Kona Joe's will be open on Thanksgiving morning for breakfast from 6-11 am. Christmas and New Years fall on Tuesday and we will be closed. AdaBlue Cafe will be open 7:30 to 3: Mon thru Thurs. then 7:30 to 7:00 Fri and Sat. Closed Sun. Not open on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day or New Year's Day. Tony's is only closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
