Annually, thousands of visitors come to enjoy Cedar Key's Old Florida Celebration of the Arts in April, Clamerica Celebration on the 4th of July, the October Seafood Festival and the events of A Cedar Key Christmas between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Smaller events take place throughout the year including the Cedar Key Star Party, fishing tournaments, boat and kayaking events, nature tours, and community civic and church activities. - Cedar Key Star Party 2010

Cedar Key Museum State Park is hosting Public Stargazing and Slide Shows Monday, February 8 and Friday, February 12. The slide show begins at 7:00 p.m. with stargazing to follow. Light refreshments will be served. There is no charge for this event.
Stargazing Hayrides, Wednesday, February 10
Cedar Key Scrub State Reserve will present a ranger and astronomer guided hayride through Cedar Key Scrub State Reserve for a nighttime glimpse of this natural area, including binocular stargazing and interpretation. There will be two hayrides, one at 6:30 p.m. and one at 8:30 p.m. Reservations are required and space is limited. This event is free. The hayrides will depart from the Cedar Key Scrub picnic area on SR 24, five miles east of Cedar Key. This event may be rescheduled for Thursday, January 11 in case of inclement weather. - 44th Annual Old Florida Celebration of the Arts

10:00 AM until 5:00 PM each day. Booths of fine arts and crafts line both sides of Cedar Key's main street while the local school, civic and church groups prepare and serve seafood and other goodies in the City Park. Musical entertainment too. This is a juried show and prizes will be awarded (artist application form). For more information see the Festival Website or call Missy Woods at 352-543-5400.

City Park from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Exhibits, demonstrations, games, contests, clams and other food for the whole family. Clam bag races, clam hunts, cultured clam cook-off and live music in our waterfront park. Fireworks at dusk. Bring the whole family!
- 41th Annual Seafood Festival

- 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM each day. This major event features well over 200 arts and crafts exhibits, and great local seafood food in City Park. There will be live musical entertainment at several places around town during the days and nights, and a parade on Saturday morning.
In addition on this weekend, there is an open house at the lighthouse on Seahorse Key, the big island 3 miles to the west of Cedar Key. Explore the lighthouse, look at the exhibits and wander this beautiful island. Shuttle boats are available at City Marina. Be sure to remember your camera and binoculars!
