Had a trip booked for 4-10 April through VRBO. There was no disclosure about the house being on the market for sale. On a whim, we decided to research the house to see if it was for sale, and it was. Emailed McCormick and asked if this was going to be a problem. We were assured it would not be, and they had additional properties in the area they could place us in if the house sold. Got an email today through VRBO saying the house had sold and they had cancelled our reservation. Contacted McCormick and they told us there was no rentals available. Very deceptive advertising not to disclose the potential for the house to sell and not be available.. Also very deceptive to tell us we had nothing to worry about, that they had other properties they could get us in. And, as a side note, get this, the property is still showing as available for rent on VRBO. Guess McCormick doesn't mind inconveniencing another potential customer.

We understand how disappointing it must have been to find out that the property you booked was sold and that your reservation was no longer viable. We strive to be transparent and accommodating, and it appears we fell short in this instance. We sincerely apologize for not disclosing the sale status of the property. Regarding the listing appearing on VRBO, we were behind at that time taking the listing down and we are sorry for that as well. Since this review we have made may changes and can assure future guests that the same situation will not happen again.
